For as long as I can remember there has been a debate on the value of directory submissions, and while I tend to agree that the value of a link from most directories is very low, there are a few that you should have in your link profile.

Unfortunately for the paying customer, these are pretty much at the premium end of the directory scale, and therefore hit the wallet hardest. In this list I would include BOTW, Business, GoGuides and Yahoo. Why do I think they’re important? Well mostly for the trust I believe that Google has in these sites, and therefore a link from them to your site flows a little trust as well.

I’ve recently submitted a site to the Yahoo directory, and they created a new category for it that is currently un-cached..

I got around this be shelling more money out and buying a cross trainer. These little devices allow you to exercise in a sort of skiing motion so instead of banging your legs against a running deck, you use the cross trainers elliptical motion.

More commonly known as elliptical machines in the USA.

So, I think it might be Granada in Spain. Fancy a bit of hill walking so that’ll be good.

Like millions of people I’m an office employee and site builder in my spare time. Sometimes an outdoor job really appeals (for the one week a year summer we seem to get, but don’t get me wrong I’d rather be indoors most of the year.

The problem is, I got stuck in a rut. Work ties you up sometimes and quite often I don’t even drag myself away for fifteen minutes. So at the start of the year I decided to do a bit of exercise. I’m not the “going to the gym” type, so thought I’d get fit at home. So I got myself a treadmill. In the past I’ve owned other exercise equipment such as exercise bikes and those air-walker thingys. I’ve used all these for a week or two and given up. Funny thing is, I’m quite enjoying the treadmill. It took me a while to get into it, now I don’t mind as much and I can feel it’s actually making a difference to my health.

If you’re interested, I got myself a Reebok I-Run treadmill.

Recently I’ve purchased a domain to develop a site about Wireless Routers. I’ll admit this was a bit of an impulse buy, as I only purchased it as it was at auction and to be honest I think the male machismo took over… I needed to win it.
